Energy Smart Jax is a pilot program designed by Ashantae Green, Sustainability Manager for the City of Jacksonville; in partnership with FOBT Pipeline Inc.

 

This pilot is aimed at reducing energy expenses, lowering greenhouse gas emissions, and improving the overall livability of existing housing inventory.

This allows families to take advantage of modern energy‑saving technologies and build habits that reduce monthly costs.

The Google Nest Thermostat is a smart, energy efficient, Wi-fi thermostat, designed to enhance comfort, reduce your carbon footprint, and lower heating and cooling bills across Jacksonville.

For eligible participants, LED lighting is available.

 

These types of bulbs, use significantly less energy than aging fixtures.

Energy Smart Jax will measure impact by tracking household energy use before and after upgrades through JEA billing data.
